About
nulvex is an idea born from a deep dissatisfaction with the current state of open-source software in the cybersecurity space. There should be far more cool stuff being built to improve cyber, so I'm trying to do something about it.
Another major influence behind this project is the rapid pace at which the world is changing. Love it or hate it, the latest buzzword — AI™ — is here to stay, and its effects are already very real:
- more and more machines are coming online
- the barrier to creating and deploying applications is dropping
- autonomous, mass-produced robots are approaching the event horizon
All of this is, quite frankly, a little scary. Everything is moving at breakneck speed while the field of cybersecurity struggles to keep up.
nulvex aims to push back against this by designing and fostering standards that allow cyber intelligence to move quickly, autonomously and in a decentralized fashion. We're trying to answer questions such as:
- how do we build protocols that enable devices to gossip about threats?
- can systems coordinate to achieve Detection Maturity Level 6+ w/o humans?
- is decentralized entity resolution across standards at planetary scale possible?
The goal is to attract like-minded individuals, perhaps eventually form a non-profit, gather contributions, and reach a point where resources can be allocated to enable talented people to build useful things for everyone.
If you'd like to contribute or collaborate in any way, send an email to "hi" at nulvex.xyz, or visit github.com/nulvex.
